The Save of the night came from Kirby Halcrow with just over 3 minutes to play on a penalty shot as Kurtis Bond was given the shot when he was hooked on a partial break away. The Timberwolves stormed back in the third period with 3 goals, as Quesnel started the period with a 6-2 lead.
Williams Lake got goals from Jordan Hirano, Danny Merth and Trent Murdoch to make the game close. Quesnel opened the game with authority as Trever Hertz picked up a pair of goals for his 31st, and 32nd of the season. Sam Higgins also scored in the first along with Clayton Chessa before Keenan Bailey got Williams Lake on the board late.
The Timberwolves scored early in the second with Anthony Delong finding the back of the net, to make it 4-2. Quesnel then got the second of the night from Sam Higgins and Taylor Holst made it 6-2 with his 25th of the season. At the time, nobody thought it would be the eventual winner.
Quesnel seemed to just be playing out the string and the momentum switched and Williams Lake made a game of it. Quesnel now heads out on the road, with games in Westside and Penticton Friday and Saturday.
